In a wireless world that continues to grow at an astounding rate it can be extremely overwhelming if you are not "computer savvy". Don't worry, you are not alone. Millions of people still find a computer, let alone the Internet, a foreign piece of machinery. The key is not to give up. Remember that you are running the computer, not the other way around. Technology is there to help you, and the computer will do exactly what you tell it to do.

We all get frustrated with this rapidly evolving piece of machinery, because no matter how much you upgrade the memory and usability, a computer is unintelligent. It cannot determine the meaning of a word by the tone of your voice; it cannot differentiate between slang and common English. If we do not ask it a direct question it will perform no action. So why do we fear them so much? The Internet enables us access to vast quantities of knowledge at the touch of our fingers. It is an amazing gift. We now have the power to educate ourselves more than ever before.

The fact of the matter is that computers are not going away. If anything, they are becoming the norm. Ask any teenager to create a masterpiece using a complicated software tool and he/she will pump it out in the blink of an eye. My suggestion is that it is time for you to get used to computers and the World Wide Web. Teach yourself the basics or take a class. After all you don’t want to be afraid of today, that which will run the country tomorrow.
